    Paul Maylam
    Department of History, Rhodes University. Professor Paul Maylam obtained an honours degree in History from Rhodes University and a PhD from Queen’s University in Canada. He taught in the History Department at the University of Natal, Durban, from 1974 to 1991; and has been head of the Department of History at Rhodes University since 1991. Author of five books and co-editor of a sixth – the latest book is Enlightened Rule (Peter Lang, 2011).
